Tiggy is a freelance bassist based in Bristol, UK, with experience in everything from live shows, touring, function gigs and theatre pit work, alongside her growing social media presence. With her main influences coming predominantly from bands such as Metallica, Iron Maiden, Korn, Coheed and Cambria, Incubus and Jinjer, Tiggy specialises in Rock/Metal, but is not shy from exploring and playing other genres.
After 5 years of keyboard lessons, Tiggy picked up bass at 13 years old; only after inspiration struck upon seeing a clip of Cliff Burton performing at Day On The Green '85. 8 years on, now at the age of 21, has developed a distinctive style, both in her playing and appearance, and is rarely seen on stage without her beloved Ibanez basses.
Her perhaps biggest achievement to date occurred in September 2021, in which she took on bass duties for REWS for the duration of their ReviveLive tour. She played multiple cities across the country, including the likes of London, Brighton and Chester, and has since appeared in the music video for their newest single 'Breathe Into Me', which premiered on Kerrang! Radio's website. Tiggy has also worked as a theatre pit musician for a production of Carrie the Musical. Most recently, as of May 2023, Tiggy joined the groove rock band Land Captains as their new bass player.
As of 2021, Tiggy began promoting herself on Instagram, and has since amassed over 17k followers as of January 2023, with some of her videos reaching over half a million views. Her cover videos also do not go un-noticed, with recognition from the likes of Metallica, Baroness, Fear Factory and Nik West on their respective covers.
Fun Fact: Tiggy got her name from a primary school teacher at the age of 8, and has had the moniker for over half her life!
